Safety grilles are crucial safety protection devices for industrial equipment, used to monitor dangerous areas in real time. Once a person or object enters the dangerous zone, the equipment will immediately trigger a shutdown, directly affecting the personal safety of on-site workers. It is strongly recommended to conduct inspections before each daily startup to identify and eliminate potential hazards in advance, and prevent safety accidents. 

I. The Necessity of Daily Inspection

Safety grilles are safety protection devices that are frequently used. Over a long period of operation, they are prone to issues such as loosening, dirtiness, and component aging, which can affect the reliability of the protection. 

Daily inspections serve as a preliminary safety check, enabling the detection of potential issues such as failure, misjudgment, or sluggish response before the equipment is started. This helps prevent accidents like crushes and shearing caused by faulty operation. 

The inspection process is simple and takes a short time. It can be completed by the equipment operator alone, without imposing a large amount of additional work burden. 

II. Core Contents of Daily Inspection (3 items must be checked)

1. External Inspection

Check for any damage, cracks, or deformation of the light emitter and receiver casings.

Inspect the installation brackets and fastening screws to ensure they are firmly attached without any looseness or displacement, to prevent the detection area from shifting and resulting in ineffective protection.

Check for any damage, aging, or loose connections of the cables to ensure stable electrical connections.

2. Functional Inspection

After powering on, observe the status of the indicator lights to confirm there are no fault alarm prompts.

Use standard obstructions to pass over all detection beams one by one to verify that the equipment triggers an immediate shutdown response promptly and reliably.

Test the reset function to ensure it is normal, and that it can be correctly reset after removing the obstruction, without any abnormal self-locking or malfunction.

3. Cleaning Inspection

Use a dust-free cloth and a clean soft cloth to gently wipe the light-transmitting lenses of the light gratings, removing dust, oil stains, and debris.

Ensure the optical surface is clean to avoid a decrease in light transmittance, which may lead to false triggering or non-triggering issues.

For more severe cases of dust and oil stains, the cleaning frequency can be appropriately increased.

III. Inspection Precautions

Inspections must be completed before the equipment is powered on and should form a fixed operation procedure. No steps should be omitted or simplified. 

The inspection results must be properly recorded and kept in an account book for easy traceability and management. 

If any problems such as appearance damage, functional failure, abnormal alarm, or slow response are found, immediately shut down and stop using the equipment. Do not attempt to power it on forcefully. Instead, contact professional personnel promptly for maintenance and repair. 

Non-professionals are not allowed to disassemble or adjust the parameters and internal structure of the grating without authorization.
