The bending machine safety guard light curtain is a key device for preventing limb injuries in industrial production. It forms a safety protection zone by using infrared light curtains, blocking the area will trigger the equipment to stop, which complies with mechanical safety operation standards. The standard installation can be carried out according to the following points to ensure the protection effect meets the requirements:

• Before installation, prepare materials and parameters in advance, prepare level gauges, torque wrenches and other tools, as well as shielding oil-resistant cables, anti-rust bolts and other accessories. Check the model of the light curtain and ensure it is compatible with the workbench, confirm that the lens, cable are in good condition and compatible with the equipment PLC, and calculate the safe distance precisely according to the formula S = K × T. 

• The positioning is carried out in accordance with the principle of giving priority to the operating side. The grating emitter and receiver are placed on the racks on both sides of the workbench. The installation height is controlled so that the light beam is 10-20mm below the lower limit of the slider and 50-100mm above the tabletop. M8-M12 bolts are used to fix the brackets and ensure that the torque is ≥ 15N・m. Rubber gaskets are added for vibration reduction, and the deviation of the level gauge calibration does not exceed 0.5°. 

• After powering on, calibrate the light beam until the green light remains constantly on. Ensure that the spacing between adjacent light beams meets the requirements of the grating resolution. When wiring, separate the power line from the signal line, with a distance of no less than 50mm. The grounding resistance of the shielded cable should be ≤ 4Ω. Connect the normally closed contact control circuit according to the terminal definitions and form a dual safety protection with the emergency stop button. 

• After the installation is completed, conduct functional and interlock tests. When any beam is blocked, a red light alarm should be triggered, the slider should be braked, and the corresponding test rod should be used to check for no blind areas. The free-load interlock test should result in a braking distance of ≤ 5mm. The installation personnel must have professional qualifications. They should regularly clean the lenses and check the firmware. No Miscellaneous items should be piled up in the protection area. Before adjusting the grating position， the power must be turned off.
